Who is Megan Sharrar? What is she about? Where did she come from? Curious minds want to know! I don’t blame you; I would want to know too. So here is me in a nutshell.

I was raised in a Christian family in Southern California. My Christian upbringing was also reflected in childhood and young adult education, including receiving a degree in Communications from Biola University.

I have always enjoyed interacting and engaging with people. My first job in college was as an Attractions Hostess at Disneyland. A job that only fueled my love for Disney and Minnie Mouse!

Most recently I worked in shopping center marketing for 10 years giving me the opportunity to learn more about who I am and discover what I do and do not enjoy about a traditional professional career. It was amazing, awful, crazy, fun, chaotic, life-changing, incredible, insane all rolled up into a ball of one-heck-of-a-ride.

Before shopping center marketing, I worked for Cerritos College in Public Affairs – like my job at Disneyland, both positions provided me the opportunity to interact with people and understand how to communicate with the public at large.

Most importantly are the relationships I have with God, my husband, and my family. These precious relationships – especially my relationship with God – are the reason I am who I am today.

It’s been a journey to discover who I am and what I am supposed to do or be. At the age of 26, I found myself having absolutely no idea who I was, who I was supposed to be, who God created me to be – I was a mess. The following 14 years was a journey of discovery. I wish I could say it only took a few months, nope the whole 14 years and I am still not done! Thankfully God has an awesome plan for us all.

Through this process of discovery, I had a desire to share my story in hopes of encouraging and validating women from all walks of life. I believe everything in my life has led to this moment. It’s my heart’s calling to be an inspirational blogger helping women discover their personal me and learning how to be comfortable not only in their skin, but in their heart, mind, and spirit.

Many thanks for taking the time to meet me. It’s an honor to be able to share my life with you. I can’t wait to meet you as well. I invite you to follow the Discovering Me blog. Also, feel free to reach out to me anytime!
